| IOGEAR USB Laptop KVM Switch |
|
For people who want to use two computers at the same time, or want to be able to work from both a laptop and PC at the same time, the IOGEAR USB KVM Switch is the answer. The switch comprises a central console with a USB port on it, and two USB jacks. The jacks can connect to a PC or laptop's USB ports, and enable the use of two machines through one.
As the name implies, this device can be used to connect laptops or PCs by using only their USB ports. Anyone who has used KVM switches in the past will appreciate this, as you no longer have to carry two sets of cables for everything, or a big switch and heavy transformer. The small form factor makes it especially good for mobile users, since they can now take a KVM switch in their laptop bag with minimal fuss.
The IOGEAR USB KVM Switch currently only works on Windows XP and Vista platforms.
The main features of the Device are: - This connection lets you control one system using the other. - Transfer files both ways or user can drag and drop files between environments. - Switch between the two computers quickly and easily. - Ability to connect USB hard drive, digital cameras, speakers, MP3 players, Webcam or a Printer to the switch so it can be accessed by the two PCs. - The devices software is equipped to automatically adjust resolution.

| New Dell OptiPlex Line Offers Something for Every Business |
|
Dell has unveiled a new line of OptiPlex computers aimed at business users. As you might expect, given prevailing consumer and commercial interests, all of the systems have been designed for high performance and minimal energy consumption.
The line includes the OptiPlex 960, OptiPlex 760, OptiPlex 360, and OptiPlex FX160. The FX160 is one of the most interesting of the new line, and is Dell's first thin client. The machine supports either streamed or embedded operating systems in virtual desktop environments, and is powered by Intel's Atom CPU.
The Intel Atom CPU is new technology from Intel, sporting a smaller manufacturing process, meaning it uses less power and generates less heat. Intel describes the Atom thusly: "This is our smallest processor built with the world's smallest transistors. The Intel® Atom™ processor is based on an entirely new design, built for low power and designed specifically for a new wave of Mobile Internet Devices and simple, low-cost PC's. This small wonder is a fundamental new shift in design, small yet powerful enough to enable a big Internet experience on these new devices. We believe it will unleash new innovation across the industry."

| Mozilla Presents: Minefield |
| A lightning Fast Browser! |
Mozilla has created a browser that is 50 times as fast as any other browser out there. Minefield is currently in its alpha version of the Firefox browser and is already known to be lightning fast. According to Ars Technica, it is known to have the fastest Javascript engine on the planet today and is known to be 10% faster than Google’s Chrome Web browser. Users who routinely open a lot of tabs in their browser will really appreciate the speed Minefield confers. In Javascript heavy sites like FaceBook the speed difference is pronounced.
Test out this latest nightly build and see for yourself how the future of web browsing will be. The Mozilla team expects to improve the engine even more, offering a markedly higher performance rate than any other current browser. You can download Minefield for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. Be aware that it is currently a pre-release and is still in Alpha stage.

| NetFlix TiVo Partnership |
|
TiVo users will soon be able to stream NetFlix movies directly to their TVs. Netflix subscribers who own the TiVo Series3, HD, or HD XL will be able to stream over 12,000 movies and TV shows through Netflix's online streaming service. In order to do so, users will first need to visit the Netflix website to add movies and TV episodes to their instant queues, which will then be displayed through the TiVo. From your TiVo you can then browse your instant queues and make selections right from your couch.
NetFlix has been trying to enter the set-top-streaming market for most of the year, first by producing their own hardware box in May, then later announcing a partnership with Microsoft to stream NetFlix content through the XBox 360. NetFlix's latest partnership with TiVo means their content will become available to roughly 1.28 million subscribers. The fact that you still have to go to the NetFlix website to queue up programs is irritating, but the promise of streaming access to the entire NetFlix library makes this a service worth watching.
