AOL and Yahoo E-mail |
America Online and Yahoo, two of the world’s largest providers of e-mail accounts, will soon start giving preferential treatment to those customers who pay for their emails. Each message will be within the range of ¼ cent to a penny per message to have it delivered. Nonetheless, the sender must agree to contact only people who have agreed to receive their messages, or risk being blocked entirely. |
|
The reason for this is because Internet companies say it will help them identify legitimate mail and cut down on junk e-mail, which in turn will help identify theft scams and other threats that prevent users from using their services in its entirety. This is basically a way for these companies to restore order to email because of the large masses of spam and worries that email users have had to deal with. AOL and Yahoo will still accept e-mail from senders who have not paid, but paid messages will be given special treatment. By this, they basically mean that users who have not paid will still be faced with the possibility that some of their email messages might get treated as junk or spam, when in actuality, it might be from a safe sender.
AOL and Yahoo basically want to assure users that when you send email which is very important to you, it will be delivered. |

Getting Better Performance with Outlook |
In order to enhance the performance and speed of your Outlook, we recommend creating sub-folders within your Inbox. You can create subfolders separating emails by year, users, etc. The reason we highly suggest this is because the more emails you contain within your Inbox, the more it will overflow your Inbox and consequently cause your Outlook to run slower and open up slower. With the creation of subfolders, your emails will be more organized, your Inbox will be less filled and it will boost the overall performance of Outlook. Here are the simple steps needed to create a subfolder(s)- |
|
Highlight and then right Click on your Inbox on the left navigation pane. Click on New folder
and type in the name of the folder you would like to create. Then click OK. Then simply drag in any emails that pertain to that folder into it. |
