| Touchscreen Monitor for Windows 7 |
|
Microsoft’s new Operating System known as Windows 7 has many new features and one of them is multi-touch technology. Windows touch is available in the Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate editions of Windows 7. With a touch screen monitor that supports Windows 7 one only needs their fingers to browse online newspapers, flick through photo albums, and shuffle files and folders. Limited one-finger touch capability has been available in Windows for years, but Windows 7 is the first to fully embrace multi-touch technology. What this means is if we need to zoom in on images or text, we can place two fingers on the screen and expand it from the corners. We can also finger paint in paint which gives an idea of how intuitive this touch technology is in terms of giving user full touch experience.
This a great tool for business and educational purposes to present to large audiences. It eliminates the hassle of dealing with peripherals like a mouse and keyboard. It also provides a pre-defined static platform to present from and users don’t have to worry about display resolution from projectors and a LCD display connected to their PCs.
Look for a new PC or monitor that has a Windows 7 logo with “Windows Touch” written on it. Buy one from a local store or let us help you find one and setup the new Windows touch for you. Please click on the following link to watch a short video about how to work with a touchscreen:

| ITU Approves Universal Phone Charger |
|
The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) has approved an energy-efficient phone charger that will function with all handsets. Many times when a person upgrades to a new phone, a new charger is part of the package; often, the old charger will not work, as many are for a particular brand or product. Manufacturers are not required to use the new chargers; however, some have already agreed to use them. A spokesperson for Sony Ericsson has said that they plan to internationally launch the universal charger sometime in the first half of 2010. Already a standard on Blackberry handsets, a micro-USB plug will be on these new handsets. A universal phone charger is good news bringing about less electronic waste.

RocketDock has an edge over other docks because it has a smaller memory foot print, using only around 5.3mb of memory, making it less resource intensive for PCs and more suitable for slower machines.
