Sierra Corporation Deploys Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays at Carlos Rosario Public Charter School
Sierra Corporation, an Information Technology solutions provider, announced today their deployment of Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays at Carlos Rosario Public Charter School.

The deployment consists of 11 Wi-Fi Arrays, which cover the entire campus while supporting more than 250 students, faculty and school employees. The Xirrus solution was chosen because it required less cabling and fewer devices, hence making the deployment rollout quicker, more efficient and less expensive.
Sierra knows the demand for additional bandwidth per user will increase as mobile devices and applications use grows. Xirrus provides for this growth by delivering a design that allows the use of all FCC allocated Wi-Fi bandwidth from each array. By deploying Xirrus’s Array design, CRPCS can ensure its users the highest available capacity allowed by the FCC’s frequency allocation.
The Xirrus WLAN Array provides connection rates at 2-3 times higher than competing designs in Sierra's tests. The Xirrus Array design provides for up to 16 times higher capacity than competing designs through an integrated design incorporating 4, 8, and 16 radios. This design was created with the foresight of higher capacity needs of customers like CRPCS.
